Here are some other possible variations:

The main body of the dancer's headgear is made of rabbit fur or faux fur. Wires projecting out of the fur are wrapped in red embroidery thread with a tassle of red glass beads at the ends. The "veil" is made of glass and shell beads that hide the face. This was originally done to protect women dancers from the gaze of "Coyote Man" who if allowed to make eye contact could hypnotise the woman and take her away from her village.
